Privacy Policy

Overview
Pomomento is designed with privacy as a core principle. We do not sell personal data, do not run ads, and do not track users across apps or websites.
The app stores data locally on your device and, if enabled, securely in your private iCloud account.
Data We Collect
Pomomento does not require an account and does not collect identifying personal information such as names, email addresses, or location data.
Data generated by the app (such as focus sessions, focus profiles, and settings) is stored:
- Locally on your device, and
- In your private iCloud container if iCloud Sync is enabled
Purchases & Subscriptions
Pomomento offers optional in-app purchases and subscriptions.
- Payments are processed by Apple via the App Store
- Pomomento uses RevenueCat to manage purchase status and entitlement access
- RevenueCat receives anonymous purchase-related information (such as product identifiers and subscription status) but does not receive personal identifying information
Pomomento does not have access to your payment details.
iCloud Sync
If enabled, Pomomento uses Apple iCloud (CloudKit) to sync app data across your devices.
- Data is stored in your private iCloud container
- Data is associated with your Apple ID, not with Pomomento
- Pomomento cannot access your data outside of your iCloud account
Screen Time & Family Controls
If you enable app blocking or focus restrictions, Pomomento uses Apple's Screen Time / Family Controls APIs.
- These features are optional and require explicit user consent
- Pomomento only uses these APIs to support focus sessions
- Screen Time data is not collected, stored externally, or shared
Notifications
Pomomento may request permission to send notifications related to focus sessions or optional reminders.
Notification preferences can be changed at any time in system settings.
Analytics
Pomomento uses Mixpanel, a third-party analytics service, to understand how the app is used. This helps us identify friction points and improve the product over time.
What we collect
- A random device identifier assigned by Mixpanel (not linked to your Apple ID, name, email, or any other personal information)
- In-app interactions such as feature usage, settings selections, and subscription activity
- Technical information about your device (operating system version, app version, screen size, approximate city from your IP address)
What we do not collect
- Your name, email address, or any contact information
- Your Apple ID or iCloud email
- Any content you create inside the app (session names, notes)
- Precise location data
- Payment information
Where data is stored
Mixpanel's EU region servers in Frankfurt, Germany. Your analytics data never leaves the EU / UK / European Economic Area.
Your choices
You can disable analytics at any time in Settings → Privacy → Share Anonymous Analytics. Disabling analytics stops any further data collection immediately.
To request deletion of your existing analytics data, tap Delete My Analytics Data in Settings → Privacy. This will stop all future tracking and open a pre-filled email to our support team with your anonymous device identifier included, so we can locate and remove your data. We will action all deletion requests within 30 days.
Legal basis
We process analytics data under the legitimate interest legal basis (UK-GDPR / EU-GDPR Article 6(1)(f)). We have assessed our legitimate interest in understanding how the app is used against your rights and freedoms, and determined that the pseudonymous, opt-out, EU-hosted nature of the processing means our interest is not overridden by your rights. You may object at any time using the in-app controls described above.
Mixpanel as a processor
Mixpanel Inc. acts as a data processor for Pomomento under the terms of Mixpanel's Data Processing Addendum. Mixpanel's own privacy policy is available at mixpanel.com/legal/privacy-policy.
Data Sharing
Pomomento does not sell or share user data with third parties for advertising or tracking purposes.
Data is only shared with Apple services (such as the App Store and iCloud), RevenueCat for purchase management, and Mixpanel for analytics — all as described above.
Children's Privacy
Pomomento does not knowingly collect data from children.
All data remains on-device or in the user's private iCloud storage.
Changes to This Policy
This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page.
